October Reflections: Big Changes, Bright Energy

I love so many things about October- cooler temps, colorful leaves, crisp apples and Halloween candy. And professionally, this October was a whirlwind — in the best possible way.
Once again I had the privilege to attend ALTA ONE which was held this year nearby in New York City. I spent a few days surrounded by some of the smartest, kindest, and most passionate people in our industry. The ALTA gathering environment never fails to comfort, energize and inspire me all at the same time. The energy, the conversations, the sense that everyone there truly cares about doing this work better. I left feeling recharged, full of ideas, and incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive community.
Right after ALTA ONE, I stepped into a very brand new chapter — starting my role as General Manager at North Star Title Agency. It’s been exciting, humbling, and uplifting all at once. There’s so much to learn, but I already feel at home. The team has been welcoming, the work feels meaningful, and I’m extremely excited about what we have already started to build together.
The New Jersey Land Title Institute also wrapped up our Fall 2025 prelicensing course. Partnering with fellow trustee Heather Bell, CTP, along with several other incredible guest instructors, was an absolute joy. This year, we had the pleasure of guiding 12 students as they learned the ins and outs of the industry and took the steps toward earning their New Jersey Producer’s Licenses for Title Insurance. Meeting people at all stages of their professional journeys and watching them achieve their goals is always one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
And in the midst of all that goodness I’m fortunate to have also enjoyed some great hikes, bike rides, great chats with friends and of course cups of coffee. I’m ending October feeling proud, grateful, and ready for whatever comes next. Here’s to carrying that momentum forward, embracing new challenges, and finding joy in both the big moments and the little ones along the way.
