Sohow is your December going? Are you in utter disbelief that 2025 is almost over, like I am?
I kicked off the holiday season celebrating with my family in Georgia. Every year, we participate in the Gobble Jog 5K in Marietta, Georgia—some of us walking, some running—to help raise money for MUST Ministries, a nonprofit organization supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity. It’s always such a fun and meaningful community event. Along the route, people play music, cheer everyone on, and create an atmosphere filled with positive energy. It’s the perfect way to start a day that transitions into good food, time to relax, and moments of gratitude with family.
Speaking of gratitude, one of the professional highlights of my December has been presenting on “Real Estate Pitfalls” alongside trusted colleagues from Fidelity National Title Insurance Company—Andrew Pitman, Esq., VP and New Jersey State Counsel, and our Agent Representative, Rob Yakovchuk. It’s always a pleasure working with Andrew and Rob, and I truly appreciate them taking time out of their busy schedules to present with me. Together, we shared valuable insights on title insurance, real estate transactions, and common issues that can impact closings. These presentations are designed to help attorneys and real estate professionals avoid delays, reduce risk, and ensure smoother transactions for their clients.
As an added benefit, many of these continuing education classes offer free CE credits for attorneys and realtors. Be sure to follow my social media channels for updates on upcoming real estate and title insurance education opportunities.
Looking back on 2025 brings a lot of reflection. Saying that one door closed and another opened would be putting it mildly. My role at North Star Title, which I stepped into in October, has been very different from anything I’ve done before. While I’m still reviewing titles and helping closings move forward—because that’s at the core of what we do in title insurance—I now get to do it alongside a true A-Team. This year reinforced that professional growth often comes from change, even when it feels uncomfortable at first.
As I head into 2026, I feel energized, curious, and excited about what’s ahead. I’ve already started planning several new projects focused on education, collaboration, and growth in the real estate and title industry—and I can’t wait to share more details here soon.
